PhD, Physical Chemistry -- Northeastern University BS, Biochemistry -- Hunter College, CUNY Originally from Kiev, Ukraine, Tatyana Chernenko came to Northeastern to study chemistry under the advisement of Dr. Max Diem, who specializes in optical methods for medical diagnosis. Her interests in imaging, microscopy, pharmaceutical research, nanotechnology and nanomedicine culminated during her two years with the IGERT program, where she has been able to use infrared micro-spectroscopy to non-invasively monitor sub-cellular behavior and intracellular delivery of drugs.
