Every dietary supplement user needs to develop a regimen that revolves around a COMPREHENSIVE MULTIVITAMIN. This is because multivitamins: THE MOLECULAR MULTI formulated by Bill Sardi is designed as a 4-capsules-a-day multivitamin. Cost-conscious consumers can take 2-capsules/day and still get more nutrients than most other multivitamins. THE MOLECULAR MULTI, 120 capsule bottle, a full 30-day supply, suggested retail price is $57.50. Buy 3 bottles and get 1 bottle free (total price $166.50 or $41.63 per bottle / $1.44 per day). Vitamin A Required for rhodopsin, the light-sensitive visual chemical at the back of the eyes. Deficiency may induce night blindness (often in cases of alcoholism and zinc deficiency). A shortage of vitamin A decreases immunity. This author notes he experienced the first two eye infections in his lifetime while taking high-dose vitamin D which competes w/vitamin A for storage in the liver; also experienced night vision problems. Co-supplementation with A & D resolved the problem. Vitamin A is necessary for the mucin layer of tear film on the surface of the eyes. While the research world searches for stem cell enhancers, vitamin A is necessary for stem cell production and goes overlooked. Beta carotene converts to vitamin A when consumed … Continue reading

Overview Research training is a major focus of the fellowship trainingprogram and fellows are provided substantial protected time throughout theirfellowship to engage in rich research experiences. The research program isdesigned to provide comprehensive scholarly training that prepares all traineeswith the background and skills to successfully compete for academic facultypositions and extramural funding at the completion of their fellowship.Although many cardiology fellows are mentored by a faculty member within theDivision of Pediatric Cardiology, the program encourages fellows to consider abroad range of potential mentors. The program will assist in identifyingpotential mentors, both within the Department of Pediatrics and, whenappropriate, from across the School of Medicine campus. Research facilities are available throughout Childrens HospitalColorado and the University of Colorado School of Medicine. In the section ofCardiology, research facilities include a state-of-the-art echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology laboratories, as well as astate-of-the-art flow lab. At the University of Colorado, multiple basicscience laboratories are available including molecular biology laboratories, immunology laboratories, and perinatal research facilities among others. Research opportunities available to cardiology trainees are broadand varied. The Exercise Physiology Laboratory, Echocardiographic Laboratory,Catheterization Laboratory, and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit within the Children'sHospital Colorado are all very well suited for clinical research. In addition,Children's Hospital Colorado Research Institute … Continue reading

Molecular Cardiology is the study of genetic heart disorders. Our major goal is to reduce human disease through the integration of basic science research and clinical cardiology. Our research is focused on understanding the clinical and genetic basis of inherited heart disease. We use a range of approaches including human gene discovery studies, basic cellular systems, animal models of human disease, and population-based psychosocial and public health studies. Our research involves state-of-the-art approaches including whole exome sequencing, mRNA and microRNA profiling, and RNASeq. Most importantly, we have the key clinical resources, including well phenotyped individual patients and families, which form the basis of all our genetic studies. To get to this point, we have developed cohorts and national registries of patients and families with inherited heart diseases. We also utilise the latest in genetic technology in order to form the basis of our novel gene discovery studies. Around 30,000 Australians die every year from sudden cardiac death. Around four young Australians, under the age of 35, die every week from sudden cardiac death. We know that there are around 40 cardiovascular conditions caused by underlying genetic faults. We all have around 22,000 genes, but a fault in just one can … Continue reading

PET/CT – Molecular Imaging – Nuclear MedicinePET-CTPET …

TRUE DISCOVERY AWAITS It takes a certain mind to go in search of true discovery. In PET/CT, they are the clinical researchers looking to set new standards of care and the practitioners working to deliver better outcomes for the patients they see every day. They are also the healthcare providers in developing regions looking to invest in their first molecular imaging technology. These are the minds that we collaborate with to come up with meaningful advancements in PET/CT technology. The promise of PET/CT is its ability to provide personalized care. Its high resolution and sensitivity allow it to detect small lesions and quantitative tools make it possible to more accurately monitor cancer therapy. It also has the potential to go beyond oncology with disease-specific tracers for neurology and cardiology. Our goal is to help deliver on the promise of personalized care and to make it accessible to as many people as possible. Accomplishing this goal requires a commitment to innovations that reduce dose and improve quantitation accuracy. It also means taking a comprehensive approach to PET/CT. By providing a complete technology solution from tracer development to systems, we can drive down costs and make it more accessible. It is also … Continue reading

At the Montefiore Einstein Center for Heart and Vascular Care, we realize our patients with cardiovascular disease are eager to return to their lives, families and friends as quickly as possible. Our skilled and experienced cardiologists are committed to the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease through leading, innovative therapies and clinical best practices many of which are offered to our patients before they become generally available at other hospitals and heart centers. Our remarkable team of specialists is dedicated to patients with all stages and types of heart disease, including many who believe they are without options. Our physicians openly and regularly discuss conditions, treatment options and procedure details with our patients and their families. We listen to their concerns and encourage them to ask questions. We have a responsive staff of doctors, nurses and support personnel who are accessible to help patients navigate every step of their journey. InnovationAs the home of the world's first transvenous pacemaker system, Montefiore remains at the forefront of cardiac medicine and surgery. We have received significant research funding from the National Institutes of Health to study the genetics of heart disease, the molecular biology of heart muscle and the causes of heart … Continue reading

Molecular Cardiology Research Lab – Texas Heart Institute

Posted: April 15, 2018 at 12:40 pm

Texas Heart Institutes Molecular Cardiology Research Laboratory (MCRL) is a unique team of researchers and scientists dedicated to leveraging their expertise in small molecule therapeutics to develop novel techniques to diagnose, treat and prevent cardiovascular disease. Small molecule therapeutics can be applied to various diagnostic and treatment practices used today to enhance how medical practitioners identify and treat patients suffering from heart disease and injury. Specifically, the MCRL team is focused on how applications can help to develop non-invasive imaging techniques to identify atherosclerotic plaques that may rupture or erode and cause heart attack or stroke, as well as applications that will help improve adult stem cell therapies. Their work in the stem cell arena ranges from ways to enhance the efficacy of stem cell therapies to treat heart failure to improvements in stem cell mobilization that will make bone marrow transplants more effective. Additionally, the team is researching the possibility of genetically modified stem cells to treat pulmonary hypertension and peripheral vascular disease, among other indications. Led by esteemed scientist Richard Dixon, PhD, the departments translational research has led to the successful patenting and licensing of new technologies that are not only applicable to enhancing cardiovascular treatments and therapies, … Continue reading
