It should come as no surprise then that UK consumers are making the most of the plastic surgery available. According to figures published by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the number of cosmetic operations last year increased by 17 per cent on average compared with 2012. Meanwhile, not even one type of procedure decreased in popularity. The double-digit rise in all procedures is a trend not seen since the pre-recession days of 2008. More facts and figures The organisation also revealed that liposuction operations climbed by 41 per cent, while breast surgery was up by 13 per cent.
