Introduction In late 2019, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) led to a global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The infectious coronavirus leads to a severe respiratory syndrome and potentially to neurological disorders.1 Older people with comorbidities, including diabetes mellitus, cardiac failure, and respiratory disease, are at increased risk for serious COVID-19 illness. Parkinsons disease (PD) is more prevalent in older people who are often frail and have comorbidities; therefore, elderly patients with PD could be at risk of severe COVID-19 disease.1,2 Many countries implemented lockdowns and social distancing to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
