cerebellar ataxia MRI
Severe cerebellar atrophy is present which is distinctly abnormal is this 28 year old male. A dominant poserior cisternal space could be a Dandy Walker variant but does not engage the atrophy of the cerebellum in general. Pons is also slightly small. Optic nerves are minimally decreased in size. Slight dialation of the temporal horns lateral ventricles are noted. The forth ventrical is enlarged. No mass, mass effect, extra-axial fluid collection, hemorrhage,or hydrocephalus. There is no T2 signal abnormality. No suceptability abnormality.
