Is she really replacing Grace Poe-Llamanzares (whos running for senator in 2013) as chief of MTRCB (Movies and Television Review and Classification Board)?
I just read it on Twitterthat I am daw the choice of Gracebut theres really no formal word yet; wala pang nasasabi sa akin. (According to Grace, she never said anything about a replacement. RFL) If ever thered be an invitation, I dont think I could take the job because Im under a two-year contract with GMA, good for 180 working days. If you are an MTRCB chairman, youre supposed to be in the office every day, and I couldnt do that. You have to give up something and I cant do that.
She can be a Kapuso, Kapamilya and a Kapatid without displeasing any network. How does she do it?
Its in how you make paalam when you change networks. Siempre its not all the time that a network has a project for you. If a network has a good project for you and it really needs you, then why say no? Just like Pahiram ng Sandali, my new soap on GMA. I accepted it because maganda ang combination ng cast and the role really fits me. (In the soap directed by Maryo J. de los Reyes, which premieres tonight on the 9 oclock timeslot vacated by Coffee Prince, Lorna plays the wife of Christopher de Leon and has an affair with a photographer [played by Dingdong Dantes], who happens to be the boyfriend of Lorna and Christophers daughter [played by Max Collins].)
On her choice of roles now that shes turning 51 (on Dec. 23). Her kissing scenes with Dingdong in Pahiram are being talked about because theyre several shades bolder than her previous TV roles. (Lorna is now a grandmother, courtesy of Rap, 28, the older of her two sons by the late Rudy Fernandez.)
Ive done sexy roles before, first in Dahil May Isang Ikaw in which I had kissing scenes with John (Estrada) and Gabby (Concepcion). In Glamorosa (the TV5 soap), I did the same with Tonton (Gutierrez). Its just that now, ang ka-kissing ko is younger than I am, may age-gap, because its a May-December affair. So mas may kontinganong tawag dun?...yes, danger! Hehehehe! Rudy worked with Dingdong and he had nothing but praises for Dingdong, so Im comfortable working with him.
Asked if its possible for her to fall for somebody much younger than she is, Lorna said, I dont think so. Rudy told me that if I ever fell in love after he was gone, dapat hindi ka-age ng anak namin, not even a man four or five years older ng anak ko. Actually, what matters is the maturity and if you and your partner are compatible.
