A SEVERELY disabled four-year-old boy taken from a Brisbane childrens hospital by his desperate parents has been found safe and well.

Chase Walker-Stevens mother was found in Newcastle on Friday, after a tip-off from a member of the public when Queensland Police issued an urgent amber alert.

She then led police to the location of the boy and his father.

No charges are likely be laid against the pair, Acting Detective Inspector Grant Ralston said.

The most important thing for us was that he was found and taken to hospital, he said.

Det Insp Ralston said the boys parents had co-operated with police and he was en route to hospital.

Queensland Police issued the amber alert to find the four-year-old, after his anti-vaxxer parents took the wheelchair-bound child from Brisbanes Lady Cilento Childrens Hospital on Thursday, when he was hospitalised against their wishes.

Det Insp Ralston said a member of the public tipped police off, after sighting the boys mother Jacinda Walker, in Newcastle after the amber alert was issued.

He said the 26-year-old mother-of-two was then questioned by police, which led them to Chase and his father.

Ms Walker and Mr Steven have advocated a natural approach to treating their son and have previously fought against him being hospitalised.

In a tearful video posted to her Facebook page in January, Ms Walker broke down when she said authorities would take Chase from them if they did not take him to hospital voluntarily.

My son is ... Do I even own him anymore? Whos going to help our family, she cried.

When is this nightmare going to stop?

Chase suffers epileptic-type seizures and cerebral palsy and cannot walk, sit or even crawl on his own.

His mother has previously said vaccinations Chase had before the age of two prompted his seizures and he had vastly improved with a more holistic treatment approach, including an organic diet and medicinal cannabis.

Ms Walker alleged vaccinations caused him to develop spastic, quadriplegic cerebral palsy and undiagnosed, uncontrolled epilepsy.

Det Insp Ralston said medical staff had advised police it was urgent he be found and returned to hospital.

The advice I do have from experts is that they do require the child into hospital rather quickly, the child does require medical treatment, he said.

We just want to keep the message out there, if they do sight the father or the child, please contact the hotline.

Chases have previously objected to child safety authorities placing him in hospital for treatment and tubal feeding against their wishes.

Chase is being forced ... to be admitted to the hospital tonight to refeed him, his mother said in January.

I have told the hospital this food will kill Chase because he is allergic to dairy.

Please share to the world. Stop my son being killed!

A Facebook page, Chasing Hope, has been established to support the family.

On it, Ms Walker explained Chase has been suffering epileptic-type seizures that doctors could not explain within hours of being born.

She said he spends most of his time lying down.

He has all his meals (liquid) through a feeding tube that goes through his nose as he cannot feed like a normal person, she said.

He had a barium swallow test done, where they found he is aspirating all liquids into his lungs. This can trigger aspiration pneumonia.

He was recently diagnosed with Epileptic Encephalopathy with evidence of hypertonic quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and Microcephaly.

In laymans terms he suffers from daily seizures, Cerebral Palsy that affects all 4 limbs & Neurodevelopmental disorder. Due to his condition he is also at very high risk of getting Scoliosis.

The Queensland Police Service issued the amber alert on Friday.

They said about 12:30pm on Thursday, Mr Steven, 28, and Ms Walker, 26, were seen taking him from the hospital, shortly after being left alone by medical staff.

Det Insp Ralston said it was believed the boy and his father were still travelling in the familys dark blue 2002 Honda CRV Wagon with Queensland Registration 785-WSL.

Chase is described as caucasian, with dark hair, of a slim build and is believed to be in a wheelchair as he cannot walk unassisted.
