Grey's Anatomy: Will Jackson and Maggie really get together? – EW.com (blog)

Posted: Published on August 11th, 2017

A new romance might be in the air when Greys Anatomy returns. After the season 13 finale hinted at a potential romance for Jackson (Jesse Williams) and Maggie (Kelly McCreary), fans of the ABC medical drama have spent the hiatus wondering if Japril is out and Jaggie Mackson? is in. April (Sarah Drew) pointed out the potential in the finale, telling Maggie she believes her ex-husband and the cardio doc who grew close when Jackson treated Maggies dying mother have feelings for one another. What April said to her literally had not crossed her mind, so I think its a question shes grappling with whether theres any truth to that, and if there is, what to do with it, and if theres not, how to manage if theres truth for Jackson in that, McCreary tells EW. Shes on fertile ground trying basically to find out whether April was onto something shes unaware of. When Greys Anatomy returns this fall, the series will pick up right where the finale left off following the hospital explosion, which means Aprils words will still be ringing in Maggies ears. So, will Maggie take a shot with Jackson? The truth is that still remains to … Continue reading

Use your (arrows) to browse Photo Credit: Greys Anatomy/ABC Image Acquired from ABC Studios Press All TV shows have those characters that fans hate with a passion, including Greys Anatomy. Or there are characters that just dont seem to be interesting or vibrant enough to gain a lot of love. These characters leave with either little fanfare or with fans cheering for their demise. Its a shame that actors are no longer working on the show, but the characters certainly do not end up missed. On the odd occasion, an unlikable character does get an emotional and well-created exit. CFL Insights: The anatomy of a comeback – CFL.ca

Posted: Published on August 3rd, 2017

TORONTO When the Als took a 40-28 lead over the Bombers with 1:40 left in Week 6, some fans headed towards the gates at Winnipegs Investors Group Field. Of course, in many football stadiums across North American, a two-score deficit that late in the contest spells the end. But theres a reason we often hear no lead is safe in the Canadian Football League and last week, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers took that saying to heart. Thats one of the things we should learn from this, Head Coach Mike OShea said following one of the most dramatic comebacks in recent memory. One of the many. The Alouettes appeared to have the game wrapped up when they rushed for six more points to take a 12-point lead. Thats the last time the Als offence would take the field however, as the Bombers quickly answered with a touchdown, recovered an onside kick and then scored with no time on the clock. The CFL is fantastic in that way, OShea would add of the improbable comeback. Its hard to watch football when theyre walking off the field with lots of time left on the clock. This game is perfect because of that the … Continue reading

Anatomy of a Grave-Hunt – Big Think

Posted: Published on August 3rd, 2017

Where exactly is the grave of Andreas Vesalius? This historical mystery, at the unlikely intersection of anatomy, archeology and cartography, could soon be solved. But not without a final crowdfunding effort. It's a mystery tinged with irony. Vesalius (1514-1564) popularised autopsies and (unwittingly) kicked off the centuries-long trend of 'resurrectionism': snatching bodies for dissection by medical students. Now it's his own grave that scientists are after, and their search involves a studious postmortem of the landscape where he was buried, with ancient maps as material evidence. The search started some time before 2014, the 500th anniversary of Vesalius's birth. To celebrate that event, medical artist Pascale Pollier set out to reconstruct the face of Vesalius, from his actual skull a fitting tribute to the father of modern anatomy. But where was that skull? The historical record showed that Vesalius died on the Greek island of Zakynthos. And that's where the trail went cold. 16th-century map of Zakynthos, transposed on a topographically accurate modern map. It's fair to say that few scientists have been as consequential for the development of modern science in particular medical science as Vesalius. So how could his last resting place have been neglected, forgotten and ultimately … Continue reading

Posted: Published on August 3rd, 2017

Eric Dane opened up Monday about his battle with depression, which caused him to take a hiatus earlier this year from his show The Last Ship. Id dealt with depression throughout my life, Dane, 44, who has publicly discussed his condition, said on NBCs Today. It was always manageable and I just felt like everybody kind of feels a little blue. But this just hit me like a truck. I had to take some time off I went away, I took care of it, and Im feeling great. Dane, who played Dr. Mark Sloan for six years on Greys Anatomy and stars as Capt. Tom Chandler on TNTs post-apocalyptic drama The Last Ship, explained he took time off from the show in April because I was dealing with some depression, which was kind of odd to me. I felt very conflicted about it because I didnt really feel like I had anything to be depressed about. And now I take a medication called Pristiq, which I thought just sounded like a good mood. And the depressions gone, he said, adding, Im doing OK. Pristiq, made by Pfizer, is a brand of the antidepressant desvenlafaxine, which balances levels of the brain … Continue reading

Anatomy of a Goal: Ola Kamara's Lefty Finish – Massive Report

Posted: Published on August 3rd, 2017

Welcome to Anatomy of a Goal, where each week we dissect one goal (or near goal) from the previous weeks Columbus Crew SC match. For match 23 on the 2017 MLS Season, we take a look at Ola Kamaras 15th minute left-footed goal that put Crew SC up 1-0 as part of the 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake on Saturday. Heres a look at the finish from the Columbus forward. After a disappointing, two red-card loss at the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night, the Black & Gold found themselves clawing to keep pace in a tight Eastern Conference playoff race. Rookie Connor Maloney earned his first start as a professional, slotting in at right wing back. Crew SCs opening goal begins off of a clearance by Salt Lake midfielder Kyle Beckerman. Beckermans half-touch only clears the ball about 15 yards up the field. Captain Wil Trapp and Maloney are both in position to win Beckermans weak clearance. Trapp takes possession of the ball as Maloney heads to a wide position on the right flank. With a defender on his right hip, Trapp drops the ball back to center-back Nicolai Naess. Getting his first start since the 1-0 win at … Continue reading

To prove he's a hands-on dad, Jesse listed their nicknames and their favorite food -- mac & cheese for "Sadie Munchkin" and "anything we put in front of 'Mace.'" Still ...
