Hormone Therapy Does Not Treat Chronic Prostate Conditions and Erectile Dysfunction Whereas Dr. Allen’s Device Helps …

Posted: Published on November 18th, 2012

A belief that the reduction of testosterone, the main male hormone, causes BPH is not supported by the evidence, as castrated men dont get BPH. Thus, hormonal treatments have shown to be helpless. Fine Treatment highlights that the success of Dr. Allens Device for Prostate Care in cases of BPH comes from its local treatment of the prostate: it improves blood circulation in the affected area that terminated and reverses the process of prostate enlargement. London, UK (PRWEB) November 17, 2012 According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC): Nobody knows the basic cause of BPH. Research shows that testosterone, the male hormone, or dihydrotestosterone, a chemical produced when testosterone breaks down in a man's body, may cause the prostate to keep growing. Another theory is that changes in the ratio of testosterone and estrogen (female hormone) as men age cause the prostate to grow. That is why hormonal treatment for BPH is widely used. Today the hormone therapy is criticised. Dr. Eid's article on Five Myths About Low Testosterone And Testosterone Therapy in the Herald-online, New York, of 7 November 2012, explains: erectile dysfunction (ED) is not a hormone problem, it's a vascular problem; studies have proven that … Continue reading

Testosterone Levels Before

Testosterone Levels Before After 7 Months of Therapy Please SHARE THIS VIDEO if you found it useful or if you know somebody who is suffering and scared. Thank you. MY STORY My name is Noah and on May 18 2011, I had a rare reaction to a vaccine called VIVITROL and consequently spiraled into a major, agitated, suicidal depression with depersonalization. I lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks and was in full panic or near panic for 8 weeks straight mixed with the darkest most painful depression I cold have ever imagined. I immediately could not work and had to move in with my parents who along with many siblings and friends had to watch me 24/7 as I was so suicidal. I was eventually hospitalized. Getting through each day seemed truly unbearable and I knew I would surely die. I have been put on many many different SSRI's SNRI's Tricyclics, Mood stabilizers, anti psychotics, holistic meds, acupuncture and even a form of shock therapy called RTMS. I barely saw any improvement in my condition for a full year. It was decided I had treatment resistant depression and I spent nearly every moment in tears. As a last … Continue reading

Osteoporosis risk factors after the menopause

Posted: Published on November 14th, 2012

ScienceDaily (Nov. 13, 2012) A preliminary study of 127 post-menopausal women on hormone replacement therapy in Portugal suggests that there are several risk factors associated with osteoporosis and bone fracture these include age, low bone mineral density, a sedentary lifestyle, coffee consumption and ovariectomy. Details are reported later this month in the International Journal of Medical Engineering and Informatics. Osteoporosis is a disease of the skeleton commonly associated with low bone mass and is predominant in elderly, post-menopausal women. Elza Fonseca of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragana and colleagues there and at the Medical Imaging Centre in Porto, point out that osteoporosis was common in the group of Portuguese women studied. They discuss data from different geographic regions concerning this public health problem. The team hoped to identify common factors and so underpin knowledge on this potentially debilitating and critical bone disease. The clinical relevance is that those with the condition are highly susceptible to bone fractures, which can lead to pain, hospitalisation and disablement, particularly in the case of hip, spine and wrist fracture. Indeed, fractures linked to osteoporosis are unfortunately often linked to patient death. Bone mass density as determined by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) has been … Continue reading

Army of Women Research Results: A conversation with Dr. Janet Carpenter – Video

Army of Women Research Results: A conversation with Dr. Janet Carpenter The Love/Avon Army of Women is excited to provide an opportunity to virtually meet Dr. Janet Carpenter, who conducted the "Breathe for Hot Flashes" study. The Army of Women played a vital role in the success of the study; Dr. Carpenter said they "had spent a year in clinics and obtained about the same number of women but at a significantly greater cost in terms of dollars and staff time." The focus of the study was to investigate whether women could learn how to manage their hot flashes through breathing. Menopausal hormone therapy has been the most effective treatment for hot flashes. But there are many menopausal women who do not want to use hormones because they are concerned about side effects; additionally, hormones are not an option for breast cancer survivors. This is your opportunity to meet the researchers, get an update about the study, and hear the Q A that followed.From:loveavonarmyofwomenViews:28 0ratingsTime:41:47More inNonprofits Activism Follow this link: Army of Women Research Results: A conversation with Dr. Janet Carpenter - Video … Continue reading

Update 10-1/2 Weeks HRT – Video

Posted: Published on November 12th, 2012

Update 10-1/2 Weeks HRT This is me 10-1/2 weeks into Hormone Replacement Therapy. The accidental theme of this video is persistence. The more technical difficulties I experienced, and the more times I re-recorded it, the sillier I got -- but that's pretty much how my life goes. Enjoy. Edit: I guess I was really tired last night. I went full time 4 weeks after starting hormones, not 2 weeks, so I've only been full time for 6-1/2 weeks. It feels like much longer. A lot has happened since then! From:Brooklyn FirewolfViews:29 0ratingsTime:08:34More inPeople Blogs Link: Update 10-1/2 Weeks HRT - Video … Continue reading
