HBOT in TBI Study Chronology By Paul G Harch MD part 1b
After more than 10 years of continued resistance by military medicine, hyperbaric oxygen therapy has finally been shown to be more effective than ANY other treatment for traumatic brain injury, post-concussive syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, and concussive depression. The biggest fault of the therapy is that it works so much better than any other treatment; it is "too good to be true." So, here is a bit of history on how the military medical hyperbaric medicine study got started, and where we are today.
