Former co-workers and neighbors react to Sunshine Pharmacy arrests

EAST NAPLES, Fla - Del Parrish and his mother Patricia Parrish were arrested Tuesday morning and charged with conspiracy to commit health care fraud.

Del Parrish's neighbors say his wife also works as a pharmacist at Sunshine Pharmacy and they have two young kids.

WINK News was there as they got home Tuesday night, just a few hours after Parrish and his mother posted bail. We rang the doorbell, but now one came to the door.

Patricia Parrish also declined an interview.

Late Tuesday, Sunshine Pharmacy on Rattlesnake Hammock was back to normal. The open sign flashing and customers walking in and out.

A former employee who wouldn't go on camera tells WINK News that she worked at the pharmacy for nine years. She says there were no red flags or signs Del and his mother were committing any sort of crime.

The former employee says Del and Patricia are both very nice, good, kind people, but she also says she's not surprised by their arrest. Over the last couple of years, she noticed DEA was coming to the pharmacy and that's when people started to talk and ask questions.

The former employee says she left her job at Sunshine Pharmacy earlier this year, the day DEA raided the pharmacy.

Meanwhile, the news is making people in the pharmaceutical community angry.
