Lamont Pride, one of the men on trial forthe shooting death of NYPD Officer Peter Figoski, was found guilty of second-degree murder on Monday.

Lamont Pride, one of the men on trial forthe shooting death of NYPD Officer Peter Figoski, was found guilty of second-degree murder on Monday.He was found not guilty of the most serious charge, alleging he intentionally killed the officer. Figoski, a 22-year veteran of the force, was shot once in the face while responding to a botched robbery in East New York, Brooklyn in Dec. 2011.

A 30-year-old man died following a fire inside an apartment in Harlem on Monday. An investigation into his death is underway.

A 30-year-old man died following a fire inside an apartment in Harlem on Monday. An investigation into his death is underway.Cops say they responded to a 911 call about a fire at 1385 5th Ave. at about 4 a.m. on Monday. While battling the flames, firefighters discovered the victim inside apt. 2E, said officials. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
