Pharmacy Tech Arrested on Drug Charge

POMEROY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A pharmacy technician is in jail after investigators say she admitted stealing hydrocodone from the pharmacy where she worked.

Stacy A. Hawk, 33, of Middleport, Ohio, is charged with possession of drugs.

The Ohio State Board of Pharmacy says Hawk was arrested Thursday after Pomeroy Police found prescription drugs inside her vehicle

Following Hawks arrest, the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, Middleport Police and Meigs County Sheriffs Office, searched her residence in the 600-block of Grant Street.

Agents say they found prescription drugs, weapons, and drug paraphernalia in the home.

They also say Hawks boyfriend, Tony Robinson, 36, who was at the home during the search.

Robinson was arrested for trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs.

The Ohio State Board of Pharmacy began their investigation immediately after receiving information from he Pomeroy Police Department that Fruth in Pomeroy, where Hawk worked, was experiencing significant losses of hydrocodone tablets.

The investigation will be presented to the Meigs County Prosecutor for additional charges.
