The new mother reached out to followers on social media to help raise funds
STEPHANIE Davis has turned to fans to help raise funds so her nephew can have life-saving treatment in America.
The former Hollyoaks stars four-year-old nephew Charley suffers from cerebral palsy and is in need of a stem cell treatment currently available in the US for25,000.
Cerebral palsy is an umbrella term that refers to a group of disorders affecting a persons ability to move.
It is due to damage to the developing brain either during pregnancy or shortly after birth.
Cerebral palsy affects people in different ways and can affect body movement, muscle control, muscle coordination, muscle tone, reflex, posture and balance.
Stephanie who recently signed a big money book deal took to Twitter on Sunday to share Charleys JustGiving page with her fans as she pleaded for them to help her family to raise the money.
She wrote: If everyone could please take a minute to read and make a little dontaition to my cousin i would be so greatful(sic).
She also wrote on Instagram: Hey everyone, if Everyone could please read and donate for my little cousin.
We desperately want him to get his treatment!! If your could copy and paste this link and repost and make a donation we would be forever grateful.
The message on the page revealed that Charley cannot walk, talk or chew food and suffers from life threatening seizures.
The family needs 25,000 in order to get the stem cell treatment which will promote the growth of more stem cells and increase his chances of being able to walk and talk.
Stephanie welcomed her first child Caben-Albi in January and has been loving her new role as a mother.
The star gave birth to her baby boy with on-off boyfriend Jeremy McConnelland has shared a number of pictures of her son since the birth.
