An additional payment will be considered for the right candidate

Catmose College is an over-subscribed 11-16 academy based in a brand new 26m building in Oakham, Rutland. The College was graded as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in all four categories and overall in February 2012.

We have outstanding facilities throughout, with purpose built laboratories offering excellent teaching resources. From digital data loggers and iPod connected Rubens' tubes, to the numerous iPads, laptops and computers available to students; the College is able to offer a truly outstanding technology-led learning environment.

We are currently in the process of supporting a post-16 Free School bid. If successful, there will be future opportunities within this area.

We are looking for a well-qualified Biology graduate and highly motivated teacher who has a real love for their subject. We are particularly looking for a scientist who has a passion for using engaging experiments to create unforgettable experiences for our students.

Applications are equally welcome from NQTs, who will benefit from a bespoke programme of professional development.

Teachers at the College are able enjoy many additional benefits that come as part of working within the Federation. These include, amongst others: laptop, a masters programme, a subsidised nursery, subsidised restaurant, discounted gym membership and a College award scheme that recognises good performance. The child of a member of staff has priority admission to the College.

You should send your application to Stuart Williams, Principal, Catmose College, Huntsmans Drive, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6RP.

If you have not heard from us by Wednesday 30 April, please assume that on this occasion your application has not been successful.
