UnityPoint HealthTrinity Muscatine to open cardiology clinic

MUSCATINE, IowaUnityPoint HealthTrinity Muscatine has announced the opening of its new cardiology clinic at 1608 Cedar St. The new cardiology clinic will be staffed by Dr. Harry Wallner, cardiologist.

The Trinity Muscatine Cardiology Clinic will provide cardiovascular services specializing in the prevention, detection, management, treatment and coordination of care, when needed, for adult cardiovascular diseases, a press release stated.

With more than 25 years experience, Dr. Wallner is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and specializes in non-invasive cardiology. He has served as medical staff president for Trinity Medical Center and chairperson of the Department of Medicine at Trinity Medical Center. Dr. Wallner has also served as director of several departments that specialized in pacemakers, Holter monitoring, electrocardiography and electrophysiology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.

The Trinity Muscatine Cardiology Clinics hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. The clinic will start taking appointments Dec. 22. For more information, call 563-262-2000.

Trinity Muscatine is part of UnityPoint HealthTrinity, and as such is able to coordinate care with the nationally recognized Trinity Heart Center located in Rock Island, Illinois, to provide comprehensive heart care services and cardiac research.
