We are in the dog days of the NBA season. And they are brutal.

All-Star Weekend seems much longer than a month away. The playoffs you cant see them with a telescope. If youre a bad team, theres so much season and so little motivation. If youre a good team, youll have so many nights youre bored out of your skull, while the coach prays someone doesnt turn an ankle in a game his team could win in its sleep. Its just a stretch of the season that is endured, rather than enjoyed.

But that doesnt mean it doesnt generate questions.

Like, dont the Clippers have to make a deal for more shooting before the trade deadline?

Theyre surely an elite defensive team. No one doubts that. But when you watch them, its a lot of Kawhi Leonard and a lot of Paul George..and not a lot else besides Lou Williams. At least, not a lot else thats consistent every night.
