ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stan Steindl, Ph.D., an international expert, professor and published author on Compassion Focused Therapy, has joined the Advisory Board of Alsana, an eating disorder recovery community and treatment provider.

Alsanas Advisory Board provides new insights and advice to the leadership team and explores new opportunities by stimulating robust, high-quality conversations.

Ive spent my career researching, teaching and practicing Compassion Focused Therapy I welcome the opportunity to integrate it into Alsanas programming to enhance the success of eating disorder treatment.

Dr. Steindl is a clinical psychologist in private practice at Psychology Consultants Pty Ltd, and an adjunct associate professor at School of Psychology, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. He is also co-director of the UQ Compassionate Mind Research Group, and convenor of the annual UQ Compassion Symposium. He is the author of three books and several research publications. His books include Compassion in a T-Shirt: The First 35 Scripts (2020), The Gifts of Compassion: How to Understand and Overcome Suffering (2020), and The Gifts of Compassion: Personal Practice Workbook (2021).
