An update on staffing at the MS Trust – MS Trust

In light of the ongoing situation and the significant reduction in income we are experiencing, the MS Trust has taken the difficult decision to propose some changes to reduce costs and ensure the long term survival and sustainability of the charity.

The MS Trust receives no funding from the Government and the NHS. More than 80p in every pound spent by the charity comes from fundraising. The impact of COVID19 on fundraising at the MS Trust has been significant.

A number of changes have been proposed to help balance the books including a small number of redundancies, a temporary reduction in staff working hours and pay and the continuation of furlough scheme to 31 October 2020.

I am thankful to everyone at the MS Trust for their commitment and understanding at this difficult time. We are committed to continuing to support people affected by MS today, tomorrow and every day after. These measures have been proposed to ensure that we can continue to do so.

David Martin, CEO of the MS Trust
