A GoFundMe account has been set up to help cover expenses for the family of a Gladwin teen and Clare High wrestler who was seriously hurt in a Midland County traffic crash Sunday morning.

Amante D. Young, 16, was the front seat passenger in a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta that went off North Coleman Road bear West Shearer Road and struck an embankment at 5:33 a.m. Sunday, the Midland County Sheriffs Office reports. The car then overturned.

Young, a state champion wrestler, was taken to MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. According to a GoFundMe page at http://bit.ly/2rPpTox Young was transferred to University of Michigan Hospital for treatment of injuries to his lungs and spinal cord.

The page was set up to help Youngs family with expenses such as food, gas and hotel stays.

Also hurt in the crash were the driver, Koby Michael Lee, 18, and passenger Thomas Isaiah Davis, 18, both of Alma. They also were taken to MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland for treatment.

The crash is under investigation by sheriffs deputies.
