Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy does not want to be compared to Patriots great Rodney Harrison.

In his weekly appearance on theZolak& Bertrand show, Van Noy took exception to Marc Bertrand's suggestion that he was taking on Harrison's old role of promoting rallying cries in the Patriots locker room. Van Noy immediately shot that notion down.

"Don't compare me to him, man," Van Noy said to Bertrand. "I don't want to be compared to that guy. I'm good."

Van Noy went on to deny that he has any issues with Harrison, but offered little explanation on why he wants to distance himself from the Patriots Hall of Famer.

"I have nothing against him I just don't want to be compared - definitely not to him,"Van Noy said. He just does things differently thanmyself. Thats fair, right?

Harrison was voted as the NFL's dirtiest player in a 2008 coaches poll and racked up over $200,000 in fines during his playing career. He was also suspended for four games in 2007 for violating the NFL's banned substance policy after admitting to receiving a shipment of human growth hormone. The Patriots inducted Harrison into their team hall of fame over the summer.
