************************* Six RVH Cardiologists have partnered to establish a new practice, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care for patients throughout Simcoe Muskoka.

Georgian Cardiology Associates opened its doors earlier this month and is a fully equipped practice providing state-of-the-art cardiac diagnostic equipment including stress tests, stress echocardiography, Holter monitoring, echocardiography including contrast and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.

We are excited to come together in this new practice to provide cardiac patients in our area with high-quality continuity of care. All six are Royal College certified cardiologists and we are affiliated with Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre," says Dr. Stephen Pizzale.

"We are all focused on providing the very best outcomes for all our patients and we are committed to providing a seamless transition from inpatient care to the outpatient clinic. When you are admitted to the RVH cardiology service, it means that we know your history and whats been done in the past. That continuity is so important to patient outcomes.

Patients can be referred to the clinic through their primary care provider. The clinic specializes in patients with active cardiovascular problems such as those patients with heart rhythm disorders, previous heart attack, or congestive heart failure.

Patients may also be seen if they are at elevated cardiac risk such as hypertension, diabetes or smoking.
