One Week Until CEO Soak Event to Benefit ALS: August 11th at 1pm in Clinton Square – syracuse.com

The ALS Association Upstate New York Chapter and Advance Media NY will team up to raise critical funds and awareness for the fight against ALS by participating in The ALS Associations CEO Soak on August 11th, 2022 at 1pm at Clinton Square.

The CEO Soak is the grown up version of the Ice Bucket Challenge, engaging corporate leadership to get soaked while raising funds and awareness for the ALS Association Upstate New York Chapter. Participation in CEO Soak helps fund ALS patient care, research and advocacy.

Inspired by the success of The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which transformed the fight against ALS, the CEO Soak is an opportunity for local business leaders to agree to get soaked all over again while challenging colleagues and peers to do whatever it takes to find treatments and a cure for ALS. Local business leaders can get involved by starting their own team HERE.

People with ALS are facing the fight of their lives. We are excited to partner with Advance Media NY to raise awareness of ALS and funds to support our chapters essential services for Upstate New York families living with ALS. The Central New York CEO Soak seeks corporate teams to raise funds through Soakee networks, employees, matching gifts, and corporate donations. Teams can sign up HERE to promote their participation in the CEO Soak event and collect donations.

This year marks the 6th year of the CEO Soak event nationwide, and the inaugural year for Central New York. Participants can choose to join us in Clinton Square on August 11th at 1PM to enter the fountain to get soaked, or they can host their own event at a date, time and location of their choosing.

Central NY has a long tradition of caring for others. Please join me in extending that tradition to the fight against ALS. The CEO Soak will be a fun event and raise funds to help those with ALS right here in Central NY, said Tim Kennedy, President of Advance Media NY, who will be participating in the CEO Soak event on August 11th.
