Only Action 7 News was in the courtroom Thursday as 64-year-old stood trial, accused of getting a child pregnant. Target 7 first uncovered the case in November. Eusebio Jasper, 64, sat quietly in a striped polo shirt in court Thursday. The alleged victim is now 17. She said Jasper repeatedly raped her when she was 12 and 13. Months later, she was taken to the hospital when she didnt feel well. Doctors there said she was pregnant and close to birth. Prosecutors had a DNA test done. In court Thursday, DNA experts testified there was no doubt that Jasper fathered the child. Based on my results and statistics, Eusebio Jasper is the father, DNA analyst Jorge Maldonado said. Despite the DNA test, the defense denies that the child belongs to Jasper. In November, prosecutors told Target 7 the case has taken so long to go to trial because Jasper repeatedly changed lawyers and demanded a second DNA test.
