West Coast Eagles Josh Kennedy says lack of chemistry a factor

Posted: Published on April 28th, 2014

Video will begin in 5 seconds. Forward Josh Kennedy says he is disappointed with the Eagles' performance at the weekend - believing skill level and lack of chemistry are to blame. West Coasts Josh Kennedy says a lack of chemistry has been a factor in the Eagles inconsistent start to the season. Not surprisingly, seven of the top eight spots on the AFL ladder are filled by the teams that have used the fewest players in the first six rounds of fixtures. Top side Port Adelaide has used the fewest, with 26, the same number as sixth placed Gold Coast. Chemistry aids BU softball during 10-game streak

Posted: Published on April 28th, 2014

With only five games remaining this season, the Boston University softball team set itself up for a high seed in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament with a weekend sweep of Lafayette College. The three wins against the Leopards extended the Terriers recent success, as the team now has won 10 games in a row. The Terriers (29-18, 11-4 Patriot League) six victories against Patriot League opponents Colgate University and Lafayette (10-32, 4-14 Patriot League) have been a major reason why BU holds the second-best record in the conference behind Lehigh University. BU coach Kathryn Gleason said she believes a wide range of improvements has led to the teams recent success. Our offense has been consistent from day one, Gleason said. Having one through nine being able to come through in any key moment. Its somebody else each and every single day and thats a big strength and our defense has been strong. Our pitching staff, each one of them brings something a little bit different, and thats a huge strength of ours that we can have three different pitchers that can hold the other team. Through their winning streak, the Terriers have outscored their opponents 64-15, thanks in large part … Continue reading

April 28, 2014 Sophie Langley World Congress of Cardiology will focus on salt The World Congress of Cardiology, which will convene leading experts from across the world in Melbourne between 4 May 2014 and 7 May 2014, will focus on the importance of national targets to reduce premature mortality related to cardiovascular disease (CVD), such as dietary salt guidelines. Health experts have agreed that most populations consume too much salt. This has been linked to CVD risk ractor hypertension or raised blood pressure, which cuases 9.4 million of the 17.3 million CVD related deaths each year. At the World Congress of Cardiology, experts will discuss the benefits and feasibility of food reformulation, and low sodium and salt guidelines, and the approaches needed to encourage uptake at a national level. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends that adults should have no more than 5g of salt a day less than one full teaspoon. However, in most countries the average person consumes between 9g and 12g a day.
