She was born April 21, 1949 in Afton, the daughter of Burwin Owen and Norma Verlene Robinson Miles. She married James M. Venditti Nov. 26, 1971 in Elko, Nev. Aven attended BYU and Utah State University. She has lived in West Bountiful for 38 years and is an active member of the LDS West Bountiful Third Ward and served as the compassionate service leader. She was an outstanding cook and loved watching Dodgers baseball and good western movies with Jim. Her family was the love of her life. She is survived by her husband James; daughter Anne (Mike Jones) Venditti; sons Frank (Mindy) Venditti, James (Brianna) Venditti, and five grandchildren, Reggie, Erickson, Savannah, Jackson and Allison. In its ongoing effort to crack down on the nation's prescription-drug epidemic, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has gone after doctors, pharmacists, pharmacy chains, wholesale drug suppliers and now FedEx and UPS. Even though the DEA will not confirm it is engaged in the probe, both companies have disclosed in corporate filings that they are targets of a federal investigation related to packages shipped from online pharmacies. Based on the allegations, it appears federal officials are suggesting the shipping companies take responsibility for the prescription drugs inside packages they are transporting. FedEx officials have called the California-based probe "absurd and deeply disturbing" and a threat to customers' privacy. "We are a transportation company we are not law enforcement, we are not doctors and we are not pharmacists," FedEx spokesman Patrick Fitzgerald said in a prepared statement. Though the probe has been unfolding quietly for several years, the investigation is now gaining headlines and attention from politicians, including Winter Park U.S. Rep. John Mica. By Dan Dockstader on Mar 25, 2013 in News The Wyoming Attorney Generals Office reports citizens are being subjected to robocalls asking for debit card and credit card information. The AGs office has recently seen a sharp rise in consumer complaints regarding this type of scam, and is investigating the calls. The debit card scam occurs when a person receives a telephone call with a voice recording. The recording indicates that they are calling about a problem with the persons debit card, or more vaguely card. The recording asks that the person press 1, and then asks the recipient to input personal financial information including the card number and pin number of their card. The Caller ID number usually shows a number outside of Wyoming. If you receive a call like this, please do not give out any personal information and hang up. If you have any concerns about your debit or credit card, please contact the financial institution that issued the card. People can report robocall debit card incidents to our office 777-5833 or directly to the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov or 877-382-4357.
