Coming Off Meds After Major Depression (My Nortriptyline Taper Begins) Please SHARE THIS VIDEO if you found it useful or if you know somebody who is suffering and/or feeling alone. Thank you. MY STORY My name is Noah and on May 18 2011, I had a rare reaction to a vaccine called VIVITROL and consequently spiraled into a major, agitated, suicidal depression with depersonalization. I lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks and was in full panic or near panic for 8 weeks straight mixed with the darkest most painful depression I cold have ever imagined. I immediately could not work and had to move in with my parents who along with many siblings and friends had to watch me 24/7 as I was so suicidal. I was eventually hospitalized. Getting through each day seemed truly unbearable and I knew I would surely die. I have been put on many many different SSRI's SNRI's Tricyclics, Mood stabilizers, anti psychotics, holistic meds, acupuncture and even a form of shock therapy called RTMS. I barely saw any improvement in my condition for a full year. It was decided I had treatment resistant depression and I spent nearly every moment in tears. … Continue reading

New Evidence For The Moon Impact Theory – The Daily Orbit – Video

New Evidence For The Moon Impact Theory - The Daily Orbit How was our moon actually formed? Stem cell research goes 6 feet deep And better barley for a better beer? I bet that got your attention! All that and more coming up on the Daily Orbit! Hello and welcome to the Daily Orbit. I'm Emerald Robinson. The giant moon mother Theia comes straight at Earth, colliding in a blaze of glory--and our moon is born! No, it's not a mythologically-inspired film starring Brad Pitt, but the theory of the formation of the moon. Although the theory that a giant impact formed the Earth-Moon system has been long accepted, new evidence says that it might not have happened as we previously thought. The former theory suggests that a proto-planet much smaller than earth collided with our planet and that the moon was mainly composed of material from this impacting body. However, the new model suggests that the colliding body was larger, about 4 to 5 times the mass of Mars, giving the moon a composition much more similar to the Earth's mantle. And hence the moon is born to shine light upon us mere mortals. Think visiting … Continue reading

Stem Cell Advances in Heart Disease: Generating Muscle within an Existing Heart | Deepak Srivastava Long-term stem cell-based strategies for heart disease aim to rebuild parts of the heart. But investigators like Deepak Srivastava are also looking into more near term goals to regenerate heart muscle from within the existing heart through direct reprogramming. Dr. Srivastava spoke about his recent work in this area to the CIRM Governing Board during the public seminar "Spotlight on Stem Cell Advances in Pediatric Heart Disease". Dr. Srivastava, a CIRM grantee, is director of the Roddenberry Center for Stem Cell Biology and Medicine at The Gladstone Institutes and UCSF.
