She reviews two US laws - the IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and how determined parent advocacy attained both. In her experience the only reason for improvements in BC was the result of the work and advocacy done by the original FEAT of BC (Families for Early Autism Treatment) parents.
