It has been a while since Ken Kendrick, the managing general partner of the Diamondbacks, addressed the local media. That changed Monday when Kendrick joined what was supposed to be a scheduled media session with Diamondbacks president and CEO Derrick Hall.

With Kendrick taking the lead, the two discussed a number of subjects, including payroll, Chase Field and whether Kendrick, who said long ago he didnt want anyone proven to have used performance-enhancing drugs on his team, has changed his views on the subject in the wake of the trade for Starling Marte, who served an 80-game PED suspension in 2017.
