The Recovery Project, a leading provider of progressive, effective neuro rehab therapies that improve the lives and functionality of patients with spinal cord and other neurological injuries, is meeting the needs of local athletes with the launch of its Orthopedic & Sports Rehabilitation program. Charlie Swingle, program coordinator at The Recovery Project, made the announcement.

"As an evidence-based therapeutic facility, we are perpetually looking to add to and evolve our service offerings as the needs of our clients change," Swingle said. "The launch of our Orthopedic & Sports Rehabilitation program is a direct result of the need expressed by new and existing clients for athletic rehabilitation services. This program will offer preventative care, injury rehabilitation and everything in between. We look forward to putting our expertise to work and assisting all clients from professional athletes to the weekend warrior."

The clinic's Orthopedic & Sports Rehabilitation program has been operational since August 1, 2020, already onboarding several clients at its Livonia location. Care options range from preventative "prehab" to rehabilitation, pain management, strength training, sport-specific movements recreated in-clinic and individualized home exercise program. The program led by Swingle offers clients options to address athletic injuries from the onset and get them back to the playing field.

Swingle holds a degree in Athletic Training from Michigan State University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami (Fla.). He is a Certified Athletic Trainer and Licensed Physical Therapist with extensive experience working with Division-I athletes in a variety of sports, including tennis, soccer, baseball, football, basketball and swimming. He has a particular interest in post-operative care, injury prevention, and sport-specific exercise. As a former collegiate soccer player himself, Swingle has a personal understanding of what it takes to compete at a high level.

New clients can expect a preliminary evaluation and subsequent 60-minute individualized treatment sessions. To learn more about the program or schedule a consultation, visit http://www.therecoveryproject.net or call (855) 877-1944.
