Were back with yet another round of This Week in Obvious Science (or research we cant believe people spent money on).

And this week (January 31-February 6, 2015)has been a doozy. Lets get to it.

1. Fifteen million unwanted pregnancies a year caused by underuse of modern contraception via European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology

Thanks to thisstudy by the European Society of Reproduction and Embryology (ESRE), we now know that a lot of unwanted pregnancies could be prevented withand this is astoundingmodern contraception.

Hold on!!! Do you mean to tell us that modern methods of contraception like condoms, oral contraceptives, and IUDs actually helpprevent pregnancy??!?!

We had no idea!!!

2. Wealthier men less likely to help partners with housework via University of Warwick
