Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, tertiary care, and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, spinal cord injury, geriatrics, and extended care.
VAPAHCS is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology as well as education and research. VAPAHCS maintains one of the top three research programs in the VA. An affiliation with the Stanford University School of Medicine provides a rich academic environment including medical training for physicians in virtually all specialties and subspecialties.
VASDHS offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health services at the medical center in La Jolla and at the five community clinics located in Chula Vista, Escondido, Imperial Valley, Mission Valley and Vista. We provide medical, surgical, mental health, geriatric, spinal cord injury, and advanced rehabilitation services.
