The Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce that Alanna Schepartz has been appointed as the new editor-in-chief of the ACS peer-reviewed journal Biochemistry. She joins William Jorgensen, who has been editor-in-chief of the ACS journal Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation since 2005. ACS is honored that Dr. Schepartz will bring her unparalleled expertise to bear as she takes the helm at Biochemistry, says James Milne, Ph.D., senior vice president, Journals Publishing Group, ACS Publications. The Department is also pleased to announce that Scott Miller has been appointed as the new editor-in-chief of the ACS peer-reviewed publication, The Journal of Organic Chemistry. Dr. Millers ability to engage and inspire researchers, his impressive scholarship and unparalleled passion for organic chemistry, and his prior experience as a senior editor at Accounts of Chemical Research will ensure JOC remains at the forefront of the field, says James Milne, Ph.D., senior vice president, Journals Publishing Group, ACS Publications.
