Yes, Trae Young deserves to start in the All-Star Game – The Athletic

Every time Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers watches the Hawks play or sees their highlights, he says Trae Young always seems to have 45 points in that game.

Rivers was asked Wednesday night before the Clippers and Hawks played whether he felt Young was deserving of an All-Star nod.

I dont know the East, and I dont know who else is better, Rivers said. I just dont know if you can come up with 12 guys who are better. Thats for sure. I cant imagine him not being on the All-Star team, but I honestly dont know whos all (in the mix). I cant imagine 12 guys are better than what Trae Young is doing. Hes probably not going to get some votes because of his record. I actually believe in that sometimes, but then I think sometimes a guys performance overtakes their record, and I think in his case, its probably true.
