As Woody Allen so aptly put it: "Sex without love is an empty experience, but, as empty experiences go, it's one of the best." And it's upsetting when sexual dysfunction makes what should be a full experience elusive.

Despite the impression you may get from the endless parade of TV ads, erectile dysfunction isn't the only trouble in paradise. Up to 18 percent of men with healthy erections may have trouble ejaculating, and 22 percent with no or mild ED may have trouble having an orgasm. And although medications for ED might make it easier to reach orgasm and ejaculate, they aren't the only way to make sure your love life includes a sexual relationship that's satisfying to you and your partner (there's no one right amount or style of intimacy).

1. Strong pelvic muscles not only support an erection, they may make it easier to orgasm or ejaculate. Kegel exercises -- they're not just for women -- can help: Contract and hold your groin muscles for the count of 5. Do this 20 or more times twice a day for a couple weeks. If it's making a difference, keep it up!

2. A good dose of self-acceptance is great for the libido. Don't compare yourself with some ideal. Be impressed by the unique qualities of you -- your emotions, desires and experiences; that's a potent brew.

3. Get creative. There's more than one way to do the tango. And all those variations on the main dance will help keep your blood pumpin' and the place jumpin'.
