In vitro fertilisation (IVF) literally means fertilisation in glass. Instead of the sperm fertilising the egg within the body (in vivo), fertilisation takes place in a sterile dish (in vitro) in a laboratory. IVF has been available in the UK since 1978 and since then, more than sixmillion babies have been born worldwide following IVF treatment.

At Midland Fertility, IVF cycles include a range of treatment plans from natural/low-cost IVF (including modified natural cycle and mild stimulation) to various short and long-protocols using stimulating drugs, to suit every patients clinical need and personal preference.

Following an initial consultation, treatment assessment, follow-up appointment and treatment planning appointment:

An average of five to eight weeks from the beginning of the treatment cycle to pregnancy test, depending on the drug protocol.

Cost of IVF at Midland Fertility: 2,920.00
