A Coatesville, Pennsylvania man has been arrested after mocking and sucker punching a man who has cerebral palsy outside a convenience store.

Barry Baker, 29, was arrested after the incident was captured on surveillance cameras. According to the Delcore Times, Baker and his friend were at a 7-11 convenience store when a 22-year-old man who has cerebral palsy drove into the parking lot.

The victim got out of his vehicle and entered the store. Baker started making fun of him by mocking how the victim walked, police said.

When the man left the store, Baker continued to mock him and then punched him in the face without warning, according to news station KYW-TV.After the sucker punch, Baker fled.

The defendants actions in this case are appalling, said West Chester Police Chief Scott Bohn in the report. You wonder what would make an individual treat somebody like that.

Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan called Baker a bully.

Every decent citizen should be outraged by the defendants conduct, he said. The victim is to be commended for keeping his cool and notifying the police.

Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that affects ones body movement and muscle coordination.Baker has been charged with simple assault.
