THIS nine-year-old girl is not letting cerebral palsy stop her from enjoying World Book Day as she creates another stunning costume.

Aya Al Rawi dressed up as Carl from Disney's Up last year, which proved incredibly popular online, and this years looks to be no different.

The Grappenhall Heys Primary School pupil took inspiration from The Mermaid in the Bathtub by Nurit Zarchi and Rutu Modan.

Born at just 27 weeks, the youngster uses a walker to get around but has expertly crafted this into her latest character.

He mum Yussur said: "She is a true inspiration to her school, family, friends and community.

"Using a walker in her everyday life has become part of her challenging life.

"Yet Aya never lets World Book Day let her down.

"It only helps our imagination grow.

"With our creativity in the house Aya seems to be proud to be taking on any new creative costumes that make a difference, not only for her, but perhaps as an inspiration for all children with different challenges around them."
