For Grey's Anatomy's Sarah Drew, her character April's story line --finding out that her unborn baby may have a potentially fatal bone disease - is personal in more ways than one. Drew - who last December gave birth to a baby girl, her second child with husband Peter Lanfer - was actually the one who proposed the idea to Shonda Rhimes and the Grey's writing team, based on a similar situation that friends of her parents found themselves in. "Grey's Anatomy" fans will get their fill of tear-jerking drama when episode 11 airs Thursday, Feb. 12. According to the synopsis for All I Could Do Was Cry, the upcoming Season 11 installment, named after Etta James hit single, will heavily focus on the story line of Jackson (Jesse Williams) and Aprils (Sarah Drew) baby. In episode 10 the couple learned that their baby was diagnosed with the life threatening disease osteogenesis imperfecta, which meant the child would be born with brittle bones. If it was determined that the Buddha baby had Type 2 of the disease, Jackson and Aprils son would have a very little, nearly impossible chance at surviving. Thats when the couple was forced to discuss the grim topic of their childs fate. If the baby was diagnosed with Type 2 the parents argued over whether they would they terminate the fetus or hope for a miracle.
