It is a sad day for us that the first Covid-19 patient died in our country today, said Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research director Meerjady Sabrina Flora at a press conference. The 70-year-old male patient, who was also suffering from pulmonary disease, diabetes, and hypertension, was identified with Covid-19 on Tuesday and died Wednesday while undergoing treatment at intensive care unit at a hospital, she said.
