MIAMI -

A South Florida doctor pioneers a non-surgical approach for penis enlargement.

"The key thing is right here, a lot of men think they're small or inadequate," said Dr. Victor Loria, a cosmetic surgeon.

Dr. Loria is helping men feel more adequate with his non-surgical method.

"I feel like in a year or two this will be the gold standard for girth and glands enlargement," he said.

Using a small cannula, Dr. Loria injects the area with silicone or artefill, products approved for filling facial wrinkles.

"The material actually converts to collagen. The body sees it and converts it to collagen. So 95 percent or more of that new material under the skin is their own body," said Dr. Loria.

Injections of silicone or artefill carry a 10 percent risk of complications, including pain, bruising, or lumpiness in the area.

"Once it's injected, the silicone or the artefill is permanent, which means that if for whatever reason you don't like the way it looks or feels, you're kind of stuck with it. It's very difficult to remove, if al all," said Dr. Michael Salzhauer, a plastic surgeon.

Matt felt like it was a chance worth taking.
