HIGHLAND LAKE, NY North Atlantic Cultural Laboratory (NACL) residency artists Transforma Theatre will present excerpts from AI Hallucinations, the groups work in progress, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5 at NACL.

AI Hallucinations is a sequel to last years Bioadapted, which Transforma workshopped at NACL and subsequently premiered at Culture Lab LIC in New York City.

An AI hallucination is defined by IBM as a phenomenon when a large language model such as a chatbot sees patterns or objects that do not exist or cannot be perceived by humans. This results in responses that are inaccurate or nonsensical.

What kind of actual real-life implications could this pose for humans? What are the risks should such hallucinations occur in medical diagnoses, emergency responses or legal counsel?

These are some of the questions driving Transformas explorations in their show under development. AI Hallucinations is part documentaryincluding actual transcriptsand part fiction, and was developed in the course of Transformas research.

The goal of the companys current work is to investigate, interrogate and educate while delivering an interactive, science-enhanced experience.

The excerpts from the work will be followed by light refreshments and conversation.

NACL is located at 110 Highland Lake Rd.

Tickets cost $25. Learn more and purchase tickets at http://www.nacl.org.
