In August 2013, Oh announced she would be leaving the show following Season 10. She has been with the hit medical Shona Rhimes-created series since it began in 2005.

"Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go," Oh told The Hollywood Reporter in August. "It's such an interesting thing to play a character for so long and to actually get the sense that she wants to be let go as well. [Cristina] wants to be let go, and I am ready to let her go. We have to start the process, story-wise, for the Grey's writers to think of why she's going to go."

Currently, Cristina is being forced to decide which of two dying siblings will get a heart transplant. In a sneak peek posted by E! News, the parents of the children tell the doctor they cant decide; it has to be her decision. The news site added that Oh's departure will also mark the return of Dr. Preston Burke, who is played by Isaiah Washington. The character famously left Cristina at the altar during Season 3. "He gives her story that full-circle moment we need to properly say goodbye to our beloved Cristina Yang," Rhimes told E! News.

Cristina will be surely missed. To remember some of her memorable moments, a few of her best quotes have been posted below, courtesy of Buzzfeed and TV Fanatic:

-Oh, screw beautiful, Im brilliant! You wanna appease me, compliment my brain!

-If theres no food, Im going home.

-How am I supposed to get through the holidays without liquor?

-Im laughing, just not externally.

-Have some fire. Be unstoppable. Be a force of nature. Be better than anyone here, and dont give a damn what anyone thinks. There are no teams here, no buddies. Youre on your own. Be on your own.

-Pretty good is not enough, I wanna be great.
