The Fortis National Mental Health Program has been developed with the aim of extending mental health services to the broadest segment of society possible. The Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Samir Parikh, Chairperson Fortis National Mental Health Council, with its vision for uniform services across all Fortis facilities in the country is the singular largest mental health system operating out of various centres in the country.

Currently the department is operational in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mohali, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Udaipur and Chennai. The teams at each centre include specialists in the areas of Psychiatry, Psychology and other allied specialties. The uniqueness of the program lies in the uniformity of its services including the specialized programs which are run by the department. These include:

Besides the clinical services offered by various specialists, the departmentworks in collaboration with different healthcare, education, and community service providers, extending the concept of preventive mental health.

Fortis National Mental Health Council

The Fortis National Mental Health Council comprises of members representing each zone where Fortis facilities exist. The Council is convened to meet quarterly to discuss the way forward for mental health within Fortis Healthcare, including new initiatives and systemic enhancement.
