Nick Cordero continues to fight for his life.

The Broadway stars wife, Amanda Kloots, updated fans about his coronavirus battle, revealing that he had surgery Thursday to improve his blood flow. While the procedure was successful, its unclear if hell be able to walk again and he remains unconscious, after being placed in a medically-induced coma, and on a ventilator in intensive care.

Quick update on Nick: He is off the ECMO machine, Kloots began in her video message, referring to extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, an advanced form of temporary life support to aid respiratory and/or cardiac function. Hallelujah.

The fitness trainer continued, The surgery went well. The doctor said for Nick's heart and lungs right now, they are in the best condition that they could be.

The Waitress star, 41, is still on medication to help his heart pump as well as still on the ventilator obviously to breathe, Kloots noted.

Kloots said the surgery, at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, was necessary to aid Corderos recovery, but he is still having an issue with his right leg.

"The doctor went in there, fixed as much as they possibly could to get blood flow down to his toes again, she said. We don't know what the damage will be. We don't know if he will be able to walk again. We don't know if he can walk again, what that will look like.

Kloots said it had been an emotional and tiring day, but she thanked her support circle. People have been recording themselves dancing in videos shared with the hashtag #WakeUpNick. The cast of A Bronx Tale, which the Tony-nominated Cordero appeared in on Broadway, held a virtual prayer session. And Kloots revealed that the cast of Rock of Ages the show her husband had been appearing in while in L.A. was babysitting the couples 10-month-old son, Elvis, so she could take a break to dance.

"Im exhausted and so tired, she said at the end of the video, and we are doing our best over here to hold down the fort... We got good news today and I need to celebrate, so Im going to go dance.

Kloots first shared on April 1 that her husband was sick. She said he had been misdiagnosed with pneumonia instead of COVID-19 and an initial coronavirus test came up negative. She has not been able to visit him in the hospital.
