Dr. Patel's Biography Dr. Ankitkumar Patel is an interventional cardiologist and the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization laboratory at Hackensack Meridian Health- Mountainside Medical Center. Dr. Patel graduated from New York University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey (Rutgers Medical School). In addition to medical school, he also received a Master's degree in Public Health, focusing on Biostatistics and Epidemiology. He completed his cardiology postgraduate training at Cooper University Hospital, Camden NJ. Since joining in 2014, Dr. Patel has been an indispensable member of the Montclair Cardiology team, well-liked and respected by his patients and colleagues. Dr. Patel also serves as a Associate Director of the Hackensack Meridian Structural and Congenital Heart Center program. When not taking care of his patients, Dr. Patel, who grew up in Edison NJ, enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He likes to travel, garden and is a self-professed "foodie." Dr. Patel is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiaology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Interpretation and Interventions. He holds an academic appointments at Rutgers Medical School and Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University.
