For the third-consecutive year, Childrens Medical Center Dallas was the only hospital in North Texas ranked in all 10 specialties by U.S. News & World Report in its 2020-2021 Best Childrens Hospitals national rankings.

We are honored to once again be named among the best pediatric hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for providing high-quality care to our patients, Childrens Health President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chris Durovich said in a press release. To be ranked in 10 out of 10 pediatric specialties for the eighth time in 12 years is a testament to our commitment to excellence for every patient we care for at our hospital. Alongside our colleagues at UT Southwestern, we proudly celebrate this achievement as it further reinforces our mission to make life better for children.

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children was ranked fifth in the nation out of 51 in Pediatric Orthopedics.

Scottish Rite for Childrens expertise in scoliosis, hand conditions, hip, clubfoot, sport injuries, fractures and other conditions focuses on the complex needs of children and adolescents who are still growing and developing, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children President and CEO Robert Bob Walker said. This program is recognized year after year by US News & World Report as one of the top five pediatric orthopedic programs in the country. We are proud of this distinction of excellence and believe it is the direct result of the compassionate care from our experts who are world renowned for treating muscles, joints and bones and who are committed to our mission of giving children back their childhood.

Only 88 hospitals were ranked among the top 50 hospitals in at least one of the 10 specialties: neonatology, cancer, cardiology & heart surgery, diabetes & endocrinology, gastroenterology & gastrointestinal (GI) surgery, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology & lung surgery, and urology. Patient safety, infection prevention, and adequacy of nurse staffing were all taken into consideration when scoring each hospital.
