Alma Rosa Winery in Santa Barbara County is moving its "Peace of Mind-10,000 Steps in the Right Direction" fundraiser online for a virtual walk through the vineyards.

The 10,000-step tour takes people through the Santa Rita Hills and past a ranch house built in the early 1900s.

The owners, Bob and Barb Zorich, want to raise money to help fund mental health research and treatment for depression and anxiety. The fundraiser will benefit One Mind and the Mental Wellness Center of Santa Barbara.

The winery will match the first $50,000 raised. They're hoping to raise a total of at least $100,000.

"I think given both COVID as well as the wildfires that we're experiencing across the West Coast, many people are probably understanding how important mental health and services for mental health are, so we hope that this resonates and we can join forces to raise important funds for both organizations," said Debra Eagle, Alma Rosa Winery Estate Director.

The fundraiser started Sept. 10 and continues through Oct. 14, which is World Mental Health Day.

Registration is $50. Click here to register.
