The St. Mary Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center is an outpatient service that specializes in the treatment of hard-to-heal sores, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, chronic venous stasis ulcers and traumatic injuries. Our expertise in wound-healing management includes board-certified specialists in Internal Medicine, Vascular and General Surgery, Podiatry, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, and Oncology . Using a multidisciplinary approach, treatment plans are individualized to meet the unique needs of each patient whose wounds have not healed using standard treatment.

Each year, nearly seven million Americans are affected by hard-to-heal wounds, mostly as a complication of diabetes and chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities. Most experience pain, a decrease in mobility, time lost from work and frequent visits to physicians. The amputation of a foot or leg as the result of a non-healing wound is not only emotionally devastating, but significantly impacts health-care costs, while research indicates that up to 80 percent of non-traumatic limb loss is preventable if medical treatment is implemented soon enough.

The St. Mary Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center can make a real difference for those whose quality of life is affected by the complications of chronic hard-to-heal sores. Patients especially at risk are those with diabetes or poor circulation.

A physician referral may be required.
