Dr. Jayesh Shah has 18+ years of experience in wound care and hyperbaric medicine practice and 12+ years of experience as Program Director for continuing medical education courses. As the Medical Director of the Wound Care Centers, Dr. Shah has helped these centers from startup through their growth up to their maximum potential first being the Uvalde Memorial Hospital Wound Healing center in 1997, and Southwest Center for Wound Care in 2000, which was awarded a Center of Excellence in 2006. He currently serves as the Medical Director for the Northeast Baptist Wound Healing Center since 2010 which recently got accredited by the UHMS within its first four years of inception. He is also the Co-Medical Director for the Mission Trail Baptist Wound Healing Center since 2014.

He has published 3 books- Wound Care Certification Study Guide in 2011 with its second edition 2016, Textbook of Chronic Wound Care: An Evidence-Based Approach to Diagnosis and Treatment, 2018, and created WoundDoctor App, a comprehensive wound care resource tool for physicians, nurses and physical therapists for iPhone, Android and iPad. He has authored over 40 chapters on various wound topics in 4 books in addition to 30+ scientific articles in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. As an Assistant Editor of the Journal of ACCWS, he regularly writes a column on certification exam in wound care.

Dr.Tyler Sexton,Tyler was born with Cerebral Palsy. a condition in which the prognosis usually involves a wheelchair, mental retardation, blindness and seizures. Through his faith in Jesus Christ, Tyler has never let any medical diagnosis, statistic or the negative attitudes of others stop him from dreaming and achieving his goals. Tyler attended medical school and achieved a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. He strives to be a doctor who gives hope to patients, instead of worst case scenarios.

Since 2003, Dr. Sexton has been an international motivational speaker. Dr. Sexton has spoke hundreds of times raising awareness about overcoming adversity for the disabled. He has written a book entitled God Bless These Little Legs and been featured in numerous books, articles, and radio/television broadcast around the country. Some of these programs include 700 Club, The God Squad, Hour of Power, The Helpline and Focus on the Family. His goal is to impact people by instilling in them an attitude of achievementregardless of the disability or situation. He strives to be a doctor who gives hope to patients, instead of worst case scenarios. His interest in Hyperbarics was initially due to his diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. Dr. Sexton was told that he would never walk, talk or even see. Defying these odds, and undergoing 16 surgeries he pursued his passion of SCUBA diving and has climbed the ranks of recreational SCUBA diving and turn his passion into his career as a Hyperbaric Physician. Dr. Sexton has published many papers focused on Hyperbaric Medicine and its medicinal effects in many clinical applications. Dr. Sexton mentors children with disabilities and works with many special interest groups educating them in the field of Hyperbaric Medicine. He uses this knowledge as a physician by treating countless individuals suffering from Decompression Illness and other hyperbaric clinical applications in the US and abroad for anyone in need of it.

Dr Sexton is the owner of Caribbean Hyperbaric Medicine a international training and hyperbaric consulting company dedicated to bringing hyperbaric medicine and education to corners of the world where access is limited. He is a American College of Hyperbaric Medicine approved Training provider and also had courses approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Technologies.

Dr. Sexton is also a Clinical Professor of Hyperbaric Medicine and teaches courses for numerous medical schools in the Caribbean and consults with many individuals/companies looking for increased training for their personnel

Dr Sexton focuses on adult and pediatric woundcare and serves as a Pediatric Hospitalist for Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital; The University of South Alabama Womens and Childrens Hospital and serves as Chief Pediatric Hospitalist and Wound care and Hyperbaric medicine physician for Singing River Hospital System.

Kelly Johnson-Arbor, MD, FACEP, FUHM, FACMT, is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology, and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, through the American Board of Emergency Medicine. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and did a fellowship in Medical Toxicology at the University of Connecticut. She practiced wound care and hyperbaric medicine in Hartford, Connecticut from 2006-2015 prior to relocating to the Washington, DC area. Currently, Dr. Johnson-Arbor serves as the medical director of hyperbaric medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

Although hyperbaric medicine remains her primary clinic focus, Dr. Johnson-Arbor still works part time in the emergency department and maintains regular medical toxicology and wound care clinics at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Johnson-Arbor is active in hyperbaric research, clinical practice, and teaching; her current interests include undergraduate education in hyperbaric medicine, the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for compromised mastectomy flaps, and the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in severely anemic patients who are unable to receive blood transfusion. Dr. Johnson-Arbor has published multiple articles in hyperbaric medicine and medical toxicology journals, and is an instructor for introductory hyperbaric medicine courses.

Dr. Jeffrey Niezgoda is the Immediate Past-President of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine serving in this role from 2009-2016. He President & Chief Medical Officer of AZH, a company providing clinical hyperbaric and wound care services, as well as the founder of Web CME, an international educational company with a mission to provide wound care and hyperbaric education over the internet. From 1998 until 2013, Dr. Niezgoda held the position of Medical Director of the Center for Comprehensive Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at St. Lukes Medical Center in Milwaukee Wisconsin and served as the President and Chief Medical Officer of Hyperbaric & Wound Care Associates. He also serves as the Vice President of the American Professional Wound Care Association. Dr. Niezgoda holds an M.D. from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine, Bethesda, Maryland, and is an 1981 graduate of U.S. Air Force Academy.

Christopher Grant, CHWS, is a Board Member of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine, where he developed the industrys advanced certification the Certified Hyperbaric Wound Care Specialist. In addition, he is the President and Founder of Hyperbaric Guru; the industrys leading practice management consulting group that provides technology-focused virtual management services that give independent hyperbaric centers world-class business operations. His association with the hyperbaric industry began in 1982 as a professional diver and instructor for various college and university science programs. He participated in the development of the first dive computer and designed the first diving safety program for the State of Florida which was adopted by the Diving Equipment and Manufacturing Association. He is the former Editor of SCUBA Times Magazine and founded the comprehensive diving medical resource http://www.Scuba-Doc.com. In addition, he opened one of the countrys first non-hospital owned multiplace-hyperbaric emergency clinic and wound care center of its kind. He has been a consultant and advisor for over 100 hyperbaric programs and has owned his own hyperbaric clinics focusing on advanced indications. Chris is a graduate of Florida State University, BS Health Education and served as a Navy Corpsman with a Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit and the Marine Corps.

Thomas M. Bozzuto, D.O., is the medical director of the Phoebe Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center in Albany, GA. Prior to coming to Phoebe, Dr. Bozzuto was medical director of the Center for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL a program which he developed in 1989. Dr. Bozzuto completed a residency in Emergency Medicine in 1983 from Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. After his residency, he served for 4 years at Wright-Patterson USAF Medical Center as associate chair of Emergency Services. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine; sub-specialty certified in Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and became certified in wound care by the American Professional Wound Care Association. He is a Fellow of the College of Certified Wound Specialists, a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr Bozzuto is a founding fellow of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine and was its President from 1999-2004. He is also past-president of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, also served on the Board of Directors of the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society. He served as Florida Medicare Medical Advisor for Hyperbaric Medicine, and represented the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine in Washington DC during the Medicare Policy Hearings for new indications and reimbursement. He also was one of the four reviewers for the US Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General Review of the Appropriate Use of Hyperbaric Medicine in 2000. He has authored many papers on both emergency medicine and hyperbaric medicine and has also lectured extensively in hyperbaric medicine and wound care both in the United States and overseas. He is the co-author of two chapters in the second edition of Sheffield and Fifes Wound Care Practice Textbook, and a chapter author for Hyperbaric Medicine in the United States published in KK Jains Textbook of Hyperbaric Medicine (4th, 5th, and 6th editions). He was a subject matter expert who participated in writing the board certification questions in both Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine for the American Osteopathic Board of Preventive Medicine, and in Wound Care. In addition to being a SCUBA diver, he is a private pilot and an FAA Aviation Medical Examiner. While in the USAF, he had the honor of being one of the youngest medical officers to fly on SAM26000 also known as Air Force One.

E. George Wolf, MD, UHM, is a Hyperbaric Physician at Lackland AFB, Texas. Board Certified in Aerospace Medicine; Board Certified in Hyperbaric Medicine; 38+ years medical practice; 37+ years in hyperbaric medicine; 14 publications, and a chapter in Wound Care Practice. Dr. George Wolf received his MD in 1977 from University of Alabama, his MS in Aerospace Medicine in 1982 from Wright State University, Aerospace Medicine Residency from USAFSAM in 1983, and his MS in Health Care Management in 1990 from Webster University at Ft Sam Houston, TX.

Dr. Wolf began his career in the Air Force in 1979, became a Flight Surgeon and held a number of positions as Chief of Aerospace Medicine, positions of command, and in research. After completing the USAF Hyperbaric Medicine Fellowship in 1990 he became Research Director of the Davis Hyperbaric Laboratory at Brooks AFB, where he directed the Air Force clinical hyperbaric medicine research efforts. He retired as Chief, Davis Hyperbaric Laboratory at Brooks AFB in the grade of Colonel after 23 years of service and was Consultant to the USAF Surgeon General in Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine 1991-1992 and 1996-2000. In 2000, he joined Wound Specialty Associates in San Antonio, serving as Clinical Director of Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine at Methodist Hospital, and as wound care specialist at Nix Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center. Since March 2007, Dr. Wolf has been serving as a hyperbaric physician, wound care specialist and researcher at the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine Flight, Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Lackland AFB TX.

Rafael Rafols, MD, CWSP, FACCWS Dr. Rafael Rafols is a wound specialist physician with years of experience in this field. He specializes in difficult non-healing wounds and hyperbaric oxygen therapy as well as other advanced wound care modalities. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and an active member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Society. Dr. Rafols is a Fellow of the Academy of Clinical Wound Specialists and a Certified Wound Specialist Physician by the American Board of Wound Management. Dr. Rafols received his medical degree from the Universidad de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mxico and he attended the 5th Pathway Program at the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He conducted his residency at the University of Texas, San Antonio and Family Medicine Residency Program in McAllen, Texas. He is a passionate professional in his field and respected for his dedication to his patients.

Julio Garcia, CHT, BSN, ACHRN, AAPWCA is the Program Director for the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Springhill Medical Center, a 5 time UHMS accreditated multiplace, critical care, 24/7 hyperbaric clinic located in Mobile, Alabama. Julios clinic at Springhill Medical Center treats a significant number of injured divers on the Gulf Coast each year. His background is in emergency medicine, intensive care, and wound care. He is an Associate member of the American Wound Care Professional Association. Julio served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medical Specialist and Air Medivac Operations in Operation Desert Shield/Storm.

Dr. Caroline Fife is a world-renowned wound care physician. She is the Medical Director of the Wound Care Center at CHI St. Lukes The Woodlands Hospital, Chief Medical Officer of Intellicure, Inc., Executive Director of the US Wound and US Podiatry Registries, and Founding Clinical Editor of Todays Wound Clinic

Dr. Gregory Bohn, FAPWCA, FACH, is a practicing General Surgeon and Wound Care Physician. He currently is the Medical Director of the Westshore Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, as well as maintaining a full time General Surgery Practice. He is Board Certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine by the American Board of Preventative Medicine. Dr Bohn has worked as a consultant in both Wound Care and Surgery. Interested in education, he has directed courses in Wound Care and Surgery. He has helped to plan major wound care meetings as well as participating as a speaker. He has worked nationally as a Medical Director in wound care covering the Midwest area. He graduated from Wayne State University with his Medical Doctorate in 1978 and completed Residency in General Surgery in Grand Rapids, Michigan at Blodgett and St Marys Hospital in 1982. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeon, Fellow of The American College of Hyperbar Medicine, and member of multiple professional surgical societies and wound care associations.

Dr. Steven J. Kavros,DPM, MAPWCA, FACCWS, CWS, has 30 years of experience in patient care, education and research in vascular wound management, limb preservation and podiatric medicine and surgery. He graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine with honors in surgery, orthopedics and podiatric medicine. He has spent 20 years at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota, holding appointments in the department of Orthopedic Surgery, sections of Vascular Medicine, and Occupational, Preventive and Aerospace Medicine (Hyperbaric Medicine). He has achieved numerous honors and awards for his activities involving patient care excellence, basic science and clinical research. He has extensive experience in providing educational lectures in wound management, arterial disease of the lower extremity and Charcot Neuroarthropathy. He developed and instituted the first Mayo Clinic comprehensive center for patients with Charcot Neuroarthropathy. He has obtained national and international recognition for the clinical application of two medical devices: low frequency ultrasound therapy and intermittent pneumatic compression. Both of these novel technologies are used in the care of patients with peripheral vascular disease, diabetes mellitus and mixed connective tissues disease. Outcomes in wound healing and limb preservation has been significantly improved with the use of these medical devices. Dr. Kavros has been the Principal Investigator for numerous research projects for both industry and National Institute of Health (NIH). These initiatives involve improving outcomes in wound management, limb preservation, and critical limb ischemia. Patient care outcomes in limb preservation have been improved resulting from his numerous peer reviewed scientific publications.

Cuauhtmoc Snchez, MD graduated from the School of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is a Diver Medical Officer of NOAA, He is a member of the diving medicine committee ADC and EDTC. He did a 3-year fellowship at the Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland. He has a Masters in Science and a Masters in Public Health, He is a Professor on at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and an Associate Professor at Michigan State University. He is a founder of the Mexican Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society and of the Mexican Wound Healing Society. He is a past Vice-President of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, a member of Executive Board of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine, and the American Board of Wound Healing. He created and is the Executive Director of DAN Latin America diving accident network. He is the Director of the Wound Care, Undersea and Hyperbaric Units at OHoran and CEM Hospitals, in Yucatn, Mexico.
